Veer Ghatotkach, is the son of Mata Hidimba(who is a demon) and Bheem (One of the Pandavas). Ghatotkach literally means (Bald Pot). According to Mahabharata, his purpose of birth was to destroy the weapon “Amogh Shastra” (Divine Armor) by giving his life. This Divine Armor belonged to Karna, Son of Surya which would have been used to destroy Krishna in the Battle. Ghatotkach was extremely strong and devoted. He helped the Pandavas twice, under orders of Mata Hidimba.

Once he had carried Abhimanyu’s Wife Uttara from Dwarika Puri. And second time he annihlated the Kaurava’s Army and did a suicidal attack on Karna and sacrificed himself, Hence destroying the Divine Weapon and helping Lord Krishna win the battle so that he can save Arjun and led Pandavas to victory.

His wife Kamkantaka was daughter of Demon King Mur. She recieved many blessings after Shakti Upasana (Form of Meditation and Prayer). Her Son Barbaric also recieved many benifits from the Shakti Upasana, He was so powerful that he can destroy a whole army with a Single Arrow.
